About Lupin Beach
Lupin Beach is a new residential development in Inlet Beach, Florida.
The beautiful seven-acre beachfront property lies on the southeastern-most point of Walton County, bordering Bay County at Camp Helen State Park and the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico. The project will not include any businesses or commercial uses.
Lupin Beach is being developed by Jason Comer, Town Founder of Alys Beach, Florida and EBSCO Gulf Coast Development, Inc.
Who is Jason Comer?
Growing up, Jason Comer spent every summer with his family on this very property.
“Our family had the great fortune of owning this property as far back as 1968, when Inlet Beach barely had six or seven homes,” said Comer. “We spent the summers here, often without another soul in sight. My father was CEO of Avondale Mills, which owned Camp Helen at the time, and it was used as a summer retreat for Avondale employees. My grandfather owned three homes on this property, one of which is still standing today. That home is called Lupin.”
After graduating from The McCallie School in Tennessee and from Birmingham-Southern College, Jason attended the School of Divinity at Yale University. He founded the town of Alys Beach in 2002, deciding to name the new resort community after his grandmother, Alys Stephens.
“Because of the importance of the Lupin Beach property to my family, I’m very pleased that I'll be the one to oversee its development,” said Comer. “Over the years, so many others have discovered our amazing natural environment, and as a result, Walton County has experienced enormous change. Just like we did with Alys Beach, we want to open our planning process to the wider community so that we can put together the most thoughtful and intelligent development plan.”
Jason and his wife, Anna, have three children, Charlie, Pelham and Lula. What is EBSCO?
